I can

Say that I have not accomplished anything that I wanted to do today...
I did laundry & That was about it Moe has been bored out of her mind !
She misses her little buddies! I am right there with her! I did a few stacking exercises.
I checked her teeth. I did not EVEN feel up to walking in the kitchen to cook anything. I just woke up at 9 p.m. from a noon nap! since I don't sleep much that was a huge nap!

Otis

Went with me this morning over to Columbus. I watched My friend Amy Show two of her Beautiful Borzoi. She got lovely ribbons, but no points, Her little puppy is just a cutie!
A lovely grey-blue color. After the Show I drove over to the north end of town, since I was already there. I got some solid dee rings for a project, and a cute Dragonfly Concho. Then I went over to Easton to use my gift card my daughter gave me for Christmas. It was from a cooking store I like.
I got a spatula, and two dish towels for just under $40 (Very well made, but kinda pricey!) I usually shop at the clearance bins. Otis enjoyed the special quiet time with me.. He napped in the car while rain drenched me between stores! The Pack was happy to have me back home! I was gone about 5 hours. I had to take a nap just to recuperate from being out in the rain! I will be glad when this weather pattern passes by!

Still

Not finished with the mower deck. It was a bad fibromyalgia day Spring is prety to look at. However the temp swings with the cold & rain just plain Hurt! I cut the nails some more on the pup. I still have to finish Romy's nails. I spent the rest of the day working on an animated gif file.
I don't think it turned out too bad... The tail wags, & the eyes Blink.

My Magnolia

Bloomed! It is just Beautiful! Today was spent relaxing & enjoying the sun. Oh...We had plans, and things that We wanted to get done. It just seemed that our time clocks were not on the same planet. I was up early and spent the morning puttering around. got tired and went back to bed for a nap. He got up sometime during my nap and started watching old movies waiting on me to wake up. The whole day kinda went by with us doing stuff waiting on the other one to finish what they were doing so we could go! We left the house at 7:30 p.m. to run a couple of errands before the stores closed. When We got Home I put Moya (AKA Moe) on a show lead and walked down our country road before it got dark. That was Her first time on that type of lead. O how comical we must have looked! She would forge ahead 3 steps only to be slowed down by the lead. She did this the whole walk. Tomorrow is another day

What a Warm

Beautiful spring day! I got that dang bolt off only to find that the flange bushing was worn totally through. I have spent most of the evening surfing the net for replacement parts. Of course first I had to figure out what the part I needed was called & what size I needed. At least I am on the right track now. What is truly frustrating is I had the tractor at the dealers service department an had asked them to fix that three years ago. With all the mistakes that were made, I have become very adept at servicing my own tractor! So much for having your sons cousin married to the owners daughter! thankfully since I have fixed most everything. I have not been bitten by the new tractor bug. I still like my tractor very much! I got to put Moe on a show lead for a little bit today. I am optimistic we will figure this show dog stuff out....

Thursday

Well I did get to see some sun! That means that Mowing in now close in my future. I pulled out the mower deck then went in the house to recuperate a couple of hours. I find it very frustrating not to be able to do the stuff I used to consider normal! I went back out and pulled off the tensioner spring on the belt. I sat down and looked at it fora few before I cleaned the bolt head off. Dag This stuff used to take just a few minutes now I will have to wait till tomorrow to finish removing the bolt! I bid hubby farewell as He went off to work. This third shift sucks as far as my sleeping goes. I can't imagine what he is going through. After He left, I took a pork roast I had cooked over to Mom & Dads. Mom had biscuits & a very tasty assortment of side dishes to go with it. My Daughters family was there too! It was very nice to see the grandkids! it had been about 3 weeks since I had seen Emily 5 & Jacob 3 They came back to the house with me. It is funny to watch the packs reaction to the Grandkids & vice-versa. Moe is taller than Romy now so that was a big shock to them. She was fascinated with the little people, & Emily had CHEESE! since she & moe looked at each other eye to eye, I had to shoo moe out of the kitchen. She was very reluctant with a But But But HEY! look on her face!

Cold Damp

Drizzle. So ok I came in and fell asleep Wednesdays post is made after Midnight.
I Charged the battery on my garden tractor, and while the front blade was still on I moved gravel in the front driveway. Anytime the tractor starts up, Otis (My Irish Water Spaniel) comes running! He feels he must ride on the tractor too He sits on the area in front of my seat. I was having a problem with a large puddle down by the road. I spent time scraping a little swale across the drive d so the water would drain. I spent about 15 years working for a public utility operating a backhoe so I do have some clue on what I was doing. I got so involved in getting it to look just right and not be a speed bump that I failed to notice just how stiff my legs and back had become in the damp air! Rats! It took a major effort to just get off the tractor. Otis was looking at me like come on already! You turned off the tractor it's time to go in! I went in the back room where the heater is an just sat there next to the heat. I promptly ended up napping. I wanted to work with Moya a little this evening. Oh well, I slept through that idea! I am still hurting so off to a hot tub and to Bed I go. At least the drive will not have to be redone anytime soon!

Tuesday

Well It was a second cold wet rainy day. My Fibro was in full swing, yuck! The pack was reluctant to go out this morning, big surprise.... when I finally shooed them out the door, Moe decided that She liked being outside. I finally decided to let her stay out for a while. She was just laying out in the yard relaxing. She finally came in an Hour later soaking wet. Happy as a lark. I guess she must have had a little cabin fever, that and missing her play pals. I worked with her on her show stance. She thought I was insane. I am looking forward to the rain letting up.

A Rainy Quiet

Monday. It has been a lazy calm day. The pack has mostly just hung out. They thought I had gone totally insane when I started trimming the Long hair between the pads of their feet. Borzoi's will usually tolerate you messing with their back feet. However it is truly amazing the way they can move their front feet to keep you from touching them. too funny!

Sunday

Wow it is quiet here! it seems strange to only have 5 dogs home. they do not make near the mess that two 5 month old little Zoi pups do! While i truly do miss having them here, I did need a break. Moe does miss her little buddies,it has turned her into a little snuggle bunny. When I can walk somewhat normal. I will start working with her. She needs trotted on a show lead for a little bit to get her used to it. I also need to show her how to stack properly for in the ring. For now I will have to accept that I can only work on "teeth" since I still have that nasty head cold thing that was going around

Wow How did

It get to be Saturday! Oh I know.... Thursday I worked on the fence some more.... Friday I paid the toll for my toils! Dr T. has been a godsend! Him, and better living through chemicals. (I think this fibromyalga stuff sucks!) Thank goodness for lots of puppy toys and a big fenced back yard.
I did find out that the current blend of pills help considerably! I forgot to take them one morning!
Back to the pack! Romy, My black brindle twisted little twit loves the fence move! She has spent her outside time stalking frogs in the little pond. that and jumping up to try and catch the little birds that try to nest in the shrubs. She is always coming in with a smile.(at least it is not a dead critter yet) Spot has become a swamp thing! He will truly miss the pond when he goes back to Katie's. Bolt only gets wet trying to get back what ever toy Spot has stolen from him and run back to his home base(the pond) with!

Wednesday

It is april 8th. The weather was a little warmer today. I let myself get talked into entering my little "red menace" into a dog show at the end of this month. It should be a lot of fun! I do enjoy being in that environment. The people I will be with are just Wonderful! Moe has never walked on a show lead. I have two weeks to teach her a couple of manners! Thank goodness it is a small show! I am way out of practice for doing that sort of thing. I called Katie to send the guest puppies back home, I think I ended up crying "Uncle" at these last two. I broke the routine this morning an now have a new hole in my office chair, and a accessory to my computer ate! I knew better than to leave bored puppies loose, Rats! I guess I get to learn a new skill later this summer when it get warm, Upholstery! They are so cute when they are snugly & sleepy! Anyway, I am looking forward to having my two back. I do hope Anne has not turned them into too wild of little terrors!

Tuesday

Today was unseasonably COLD! I refused to go out. Fibromyalgia and this weather don't play well together. The Puppies just loved it! Yes they had to play in the pond again. Spot was just in an ornery mood, He chose to pee in the middle of my son's bed while He sat there typing on His puter! I heard a Yell and saw my son telling Spot that He ha to do that outside! Not on His bed!
I am always amazed at what these Puppies can think of next! They do make me smile! Not intentionally at my Menfolk's expense!

Monday "The Pack"

We have survived the weekend. Ok, so I did try to bite off a little more than I could chew. I did get the fence moved out to the edge of our lot. Just NOT before Hubby woke up and let out the Pack. The two guest puppies walked over the fence laying on the ground & over to next door to play in their pond! I called Hubby on His cell to come out & round up the little water rats! I was close to being done too I just had 3 more post to set! After We got the puppers back in the yard.
Hubby helped hold up the fence while I pounded in the last few post. I made the back yard about 40 feet shorter, but took out the Ell shape & now it is the full 200 feet wide. It is a nice size area for the pack to run in. I spent the rest of the evening with leg cramps & muscle spasms. That is why no sunday blog.

The Hounds at Wrylock

Well today "the pack" seemed to have a good day. It was sunny with no rain. Our two guest Borzoi got to go with us to a pet store to get some kibble. For never being in that type of situation before, They behaved very bravely for 5 month old puppies!
